step 1
Pre-heating and decomposition: the raw material enters the preheater and is preheated by high-temperature gas. And a partial decomposition reaction occurs. This step helps to reduce energy consumption in the calcination process.
step 2
Calcination: after pre-heating, the raw material enters the rotary kiln to calcinate. In the rotary kiln, the raw material will undergo calcination due to the temperature. The carbonate will further decompose rapidly and undergo a series of solid-phase reactions. Thus, get the core mineral in the cement clinker. With the temperature of the materials gradually rising, this mineral could gradually turn into a liquid state, and subsequently undergo complex chemical reactions, resulting in the formation of a large amount of clinker. When the clinker is calcinated, the temperature could gradually reduce.

Cooling: after calcining, the clinker needs to cool. At this point, the cement clinker cooler will play a crucial role. It could efficiently cool the hot clinker discharged from the rotary kiln to a suitable temperature that is within the range that the downstream conveyors, storage tanks, and cement mills can handle. At the same time, this cooler could recover sensible heat from high-temperature clinker. Thus increasing the heat efficiency of the entire system, and further increasing the quality of clinker.
