The process of flour milling plant
Step 1 Cleaning: The first step in the milling process is cleaning to remove foreign objects from the grain to ensure the high quality of the final product. After the initial cleaning, a wash is carried out, which is the second cleaning process. Rub the grain to remove residual impurities. This process needs vibrating screens, magnetic separators
Step 2 Conditioning: The grain needs to be conditioned after washing. The process involves adding water to the grain to make it easier to grind.
Step 3 Milling:
- Roughing stage: The wheat is ground by a coarse roller. The goal is to break up the grain, release the endosperm, and separate most of the bran.
- Milling stage: Further grinding coarse grinding stage of the product. The intermediate roller refines the larger particles in the coarse meal and continues to separate the bran from the endosperm.
- Fine milling: This stage uses a fine mill roller and a fine sieve to grind the product into very fine particles, close to the requirements of the finished flour.
- Final milling: Finally, thinner rollers and sifters are used to make the powder more even, remove the last bran and impurities, and achieve the highest purity of the flour.
Step 4 Sifting and Purifying: Impurities such as bran and endosperm fragments may be mixed into the powder produced during flour milling. Further purification through flour washing equipment to remove any remaining impurities. The screening and purification process of flour directly affects the taste of flour and needs to be repeated many times.
Step 5 Packing: Flour is carefully weighed, packed, and labeled. This process usually uses a fully automatic wheat flour packaging machine. Storage temperature should be controlled at 10-20℃, with relative humidity below 60%.
