wet grinding
- Step 1: Cleaning and Shelling: Vibrating screens and stone-removing machines, as well as magnetic separators, are used to remove impurities from the surface of the rice and immature grains.
- Step 2: Soaking: The rice need be soaked in water at room temperature or at a low temperature for 6 to 24 hours. This could soften the rice, reduce the energy consumption of wet grinding, and increase whiteness and fineness.
- Step 3: Wet grinding: Use a sand mill to grind the soaked rice and water together into a rice paste. This results in a finer particle size, and starch damage is minimal.
