Hydrated Lime Process
STEP1: Raw material preparation
The raw materials are usually limestone and dolomite. The raw material needs to be crushed and screened to get uniform particles. The whiter limestone and the fewer impurities you choose, the higher the quality of hydrated lime.
STEP2: Digestion of raw materials
The screened material is mixed with moderate water. The material reacts in a digester to produce milk of lime. A digester needs to control the temperature and power of hydrogen to ensure the quality of lime milk.
STEP3: Dehydration of lime milk:
Dehydration is a process that removes water in the lime milk and gets calcium hydroxide. Common dehydration methods are natural drying and mechanical dehydration.
