Technological Process of AGICO quick lime production
STEP1: Pretreatment: The limestone is firstly crushed in a quick lime plant. Large limestone is crushed into small particles by a jaw crusher, impact crusher, and other equipment. After crushing, the limestone needs to be screened to remove soil impurities and other impure substances. This could improve the purity of raw materials.
STEP2: Mixing and storing: After crushing and screening, the limestone needs to be mixed according to a certain proportion to ensure stability in the calcine process and evenly quality. Mixed limestone is sent to a lime silo for subsequent use.
STEP3: Calcination: The limestone is heated to about 900 ℃ by kiln flue gas at 1150 ℃ in the preheater, and about 30% of the limestone is decomposed. The limestone enters the rotary kiln to Calcine at a high temperature. The calcination temperature is usually at 1000-1100℃, calcination time is about 24 hours. During calcination, calcium carbonate decomposes into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide.
STEP4: Cooling: After calcination, the lime is cooled to below 100 ℃ in the cooler by blowing in cold air and then is discharged. The quick lime is sent to the lime silo by Chain conveyor, bucket elevator, belt conveyor, and other equipment.
STEP 5: Dust removal: The rotary kiln burns and generates high-temperature gas is exchanged by the preheater into the bag filter. It ensures the dust concentration of the exhaust gas is less than 30mg/m³.

quick lime crusher
It is used to break large pieces of limestone into a particle size that meets the requirements of calcination. The commonly used crushers are jaw crushers, impact crushers, and hammer crushers. The lime crusher has a high crushing ratio, high output, and little energy consumption. Using a lime crusher could replace part of the ball mill and reduce raw material particles. The lime crusher’s design is suitable, and the operation is simple. It occupies a small footprint and is easy to install and maintain.
Preheater
The preheater is usually used with a rotary kiln. It has a reasonable structure, high thermal efficiency, and a high automation level. The core of the preheater is made of heat-resistant steel that can work at high temperatures. It has a firebrick lining to ensure raw material is evenly heated and achieves preheater temperature. In addition, The preheater can also effectively recover the heat taken away by the flue gas emission at the end of the kiln and improve the fuel utilization rate of the system.
rotary kiln
The quick lime rotary kiln is a kind of industrial equipment specially designed for calcining limestone into quick lime at high temperatures. Its main structure includes a cylinder, supporting device, transmission device, kiln head and kiln tail sealing device, etc. The cylinder body is made of rolled steel plate, inlaid with refractory lining inside, and is inclined to the horizontal line at the specified degree. It is supported by wheel belts on each retaining support device.
Screening equipment
After calcination, the limestone is screened to achieve regulated particles. The screening equipment ensures the final product meets the requirements of use by grading the lime. This could improve the quality and competition. It could finish efficiently screening, and ensure lime evenly particle. It could deal with several limes, and meet production requirements. The closed structure reduces dust diffusion and meets the requirements of environmental protection.

The lime production cooling equipment mainly includes a shaft cooler. The center of the shaft cooler has a central cooling hood and sub-chamber cooling hood. These hoods mainly take charge of cooling raw materials. The shaft cooler is usually made of fireproofing. A central cooling hood and a sub-chamber cooling hood are evenly distributed inside. These hoods are connected to the external fan through the pipe, and the cooling air enters the inside of the cooler through the hood, and contacts with the high-temperature material to complete the heat exchange.
