Separate the palm kernel from the shells. The shells can be used as fuel for the boiler system. Shell removal not only increases PKO oil yield but also improves the quality of PKO and the oil meal.

Crushing

The palm kernels are crushed into small pieces using a toothed rod crusher to prevent severe damage to the equipment during direct processing.

Cooking

The palm kernels are steamed using a steam cooking machine to completely break down the cell structure of the nuts, thereby facilitating the extraction of the oil.

Pressing

Pressing palm kernel has a specialized palm kernel pressing machine, specially designed for palm kernels. It ensures smooth feeding and thorough pressing. It is usually equipped with an intelligent temperature control system, which can adjust the temperature as needed. It not only increases the oil extraction rate but also retains the nutrients.

Filtering

Crude palm kernel oil is filtered and clarified to remove impurities.

Refining

The basic refining process of palm kernel oil (PKO) involves degumming, deacidification, bleaching, and deodorization.

The AGICO PKO mill employs multi-stage spiral pressing and an intelligent temperature-control system. By optimizing the pressure in the oil extraction chamber based on the high oil content (45%-55%) of palm kernels. This increases oil yield by 10%-15% and reduces residual oil content to 6%-8%.

Long service life

The screw and screw bar of AGICO PKO mill ADOPT 2Cr13 stainless steel or alloy steel. It undergoes special heat treatment, so it is extremely hard, does not need frequent replacement, and prolongs the service life by 3 to 5 times.

Unlike traditional oil mill machinery, the raw material requires high-temperature steaming and roasting. AGICO PKO efficiently extracts oil at 60–70°C, reducing electricity consumption by 20%–30% per ton of material, with zero steam consumption.

easy wastewater treatment

AGICO PKO mill does not need to add any solvent or water, so it produce waste water reduced by over 90% compared to traditional oil machines. Moreover, the waste residue can also be reused and directly sold to feed factories as high-quality feed raw materials.
