- Pre-treatment
cleaning
Before processing, the groundnuts are removed from impurities such as stones, dust, and metal fragments by a cleaning sieve. The impurity content is reduced by 0.5% to ensure equipment safety and the quality of the oil.
Shelling
The groundnut is sent to the shelling machine, then the shells are repeatedly impacted and rubbed until they break. Subsequently, the shells undergo screens of different diameters and an air system. The shells are blown away.
Crushing
Crush the peanut kernels mechanically to increase their surface area, thereby enhancing the efficiency of heat and moisture transfer.
Flaking
To further break down the internal cellular structure of the peanuts and increase their surface area for pressing. You can use a flaking machine to compress the peanuts into uniformly thick flakes.
Cooking
The groundnut undergoes cooking to extract the maximum amount of oil. Bake the peanuts at a temperature of 130 to 150°C for 30 to 60 minutes. The moisture content is controlled at 1% to 2%. The cooking makes protein denature, thereby helping the separation of oil and water. At the same time, the cooking can enhance the aroma of peanut oil.
- Pressing
We provide hot-pressing and cold-pressing.
Hot-pressing
It is suitable for high production and rapid output, but it will increase the loss of nutrients due to high temperatures.
Cold-pressing
(The hydraulic oil press is ideal for cold pressing, while the screw oil press can also achieve cold pressing with temperature control.)
It is suitable for the high-end oil market. Nutrients such as vitamin E and phytochemicals can be better preserved, but the yield of the oil is lower.
- Refining
Crude oil will undergo a series of refinings to achieve purification.
- Degumming: Removal of phospholipids and gums.
- Neutralization (deacidification): Elimination of free fatty acids.
- Bleaching: Removal of pigments using active clay.
- Deodorization: Removal of volatile odors to enhance the taste.
After refining, the groundnut oil is cooled to be sent to the filling and packaging unit. They are bottled for commercial sale.
