Soybean oil mill machinery
Step 1: pre-treatment
- Cleaning: Cleaning the soybeans to remove impurities. Then, using a magnetic separator to remove metal impurities. Non-metallic impurities are removed through screens and vibrating screens.
- Crushing: Using a crusher to grind larger soybean particles will turn them into high-quality sprouts, thereby enhancing production efficiency.
- Flaking: The soybeans are transformed from a granular form to a flaky one by a flaking machine. Thus, this increases the surface area available for oil extraction.
- Conditioning: Use the cooking machine to heat to 60–80℃, making the protein in the soybean cell walls denature and the structure become looser. This makes it easier for the oil to be released from the cells.
Step 2: Pressing or Solvent Extraction
- Pressing is suitable for small-scale operations or markets that have a demand for “physically extracted oil”. The material is gradually compressed under the action of the screw, and the oil is squeezed out from the gaps, forming cakes that are discharged. Then the solid impurities in the crude oil are filtered out.
- Solvent Extraction is suitable for industrial production. By spraying or immersing oil-bearing materials with solvents, the oils dissolve to form a “mixed oil”. The solvent is separated from the “mixed oil (oil + solvent)” through multi-stage evaporation and recycled for reuse. Then, steam stripping is carried out to completely remove the residual solvent, resulting in crude oil.
Step 3: Refining
Whether it is pressed oil or solvent-extracted oil, it needs to be refined before it can be consumed. The refining process includes steps such as degumming, deacidification, bleaching, and deodorization.
