Compared with other vegetable oils such as rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, palm oil, and coconut oil, the price of soybean oil is more competitive. As the demand for soybean oil continues to grow, more and more customers are interested in setting up soybean oil mill plants. As a manufacturer, AGICO Group has helped numerous domestic and foreign customers successfully set up soybean oil processing plants, AGICO is happy to provide you with solutions and oil mill machinery for soybean oil mill plants.
The advantages of soybean oil mill plant
Few labor: Soybean oil plants are easy to operate and do not require a lot of labor. The operating environment of the plant is safe.
Easy to operate: The equipment is simple to operate. You can easily set up the device by following the instructions.
Competitive price: Our soybean oil processing plants are not capital-intensive. With relatively little capital, you can own the machine and get a great return on your investment.
Wide application: Soybean oil processing plants are not limited to processing only soybeans. The device is also suitable for extracting oil from various seeds, including sesame, sunflower, corn, peanuts, and canola.
The process of soybean oil mill plant
- Step 1 Cleaning: The soybeans will be washed to remove impurities. Magnetic separators are used to remove metal impurities. Non-metallic impurities are removed through screens and vibrating screens.
- Step 2 Crushing: It’s crushed to separate the kernel from the skin. The crusher is used in the crushing process. In this process, larger soybean particles are ground to produce a high-quality embryo, increasing productivity.
- Step 3 Softening: Soybeans are often softened due to their low oil content. Softening is achieved by adjusting the oil temperature. The seeds are passed through a horizontal softening tank at 70-80 degrees, heated, and rotated for 30 minutes.
- Step 4 Rolling: Use a stripper to roll oilseeds from pellets into thin sheets. When this is done, the cell structure of the oilseed is destroyed. This increases the surface area for oil extraction.
- Step 5 Extrusion: Extrusion is to break through the crushed and rolled soybeans with an extruder to form porous and spread granular materials. Heat press, and bond in an extruder at a temperature of 110-200 ℃. To remove the remaining soybean oil from the extrusion process, the solvent hexane is usually used, which can absorb the remaining oil in the seeds. Because the solvent is volatile, oil is obtained when the solvent evaporates.
- Step 6 Refining: The extracted oil is usually not pure. Because it contains impurities. To obtain pure oil, a refining process is carried out. Refining includes degumming, deacidifying, and deodorizing processes.
The difference in oil pressing process
- Hot pressing: cleaning—crushing—cooking—pressing—refining
- Cold pressing: cleaning—crushing—cold pressing—filtering.
Hot pressing
- Heat treatment is usually heated to more than 100 ° C.
- The oil after heat treatment is dark in color and high in acidity and needs to be refined.
- Heat treatment has high oil yield, simple operation, and is suitable for large-scale production and cost reduction.
- High-temperature treatment may lead to the loss of some nutrients.
Cold pressing
- Cold treatment is pressed in an environment below 60 ° C.
- The cold-treated oil only needs to be precipitated and filtered to get the finished oil.
- Cold treatment has a lower oil yield but retains more natural nutrients. It is suitable for consumers who pursue natural and pure eating experiences.
soybean oil mill plant cost
For those planning to invest in soybean oil processing, the cost of setting up a soybean oil plant is the most important issue. Here are the main factors that affect the cost of setting up a soybean oil plant.
Different capacities of equipment have different prices:
- 1-20T/d $6800-55000
- 20-30T/d $15000-75000
- More than 30T/d More than $110000
| Cost Component | Estimated Investment |
|---|---|
| Land cost and Factory Building | $20,000 – $30,000 |
| Machinery and Equipment | Starts from $6800 |
| Installation and Commissioning | $4000-$6000 |
| Labor Cost | $20,000 – $30,000 |
| Total Investment | Starts from $50800 |
- Scale of oil plant: do you need to determine whether your soybean oil plant investment cost is large or small? The amount of investment, the amount of income, the payback period of investment and the time of construction have a great relationship with the output of soybean oil. The pictures below are our popular soybean oil pressing equipment and soybean oil refining equipment for domestic and commercial use.
- Cost of raw material: the cost of soybeans is influenced by many factors. The quality of soybeans and the price of precious metals such as gold also affect the price of soybeans. Fluctuations in the stock market, the rise and fall of currency exchange rates, and the type of soybean can all affect the price of soybeans.
- Equipment cost: equipment cost is the main factor affecting the cost of establishing soybean oil plants. You need to determine your capacity, and the price of the equipment changes with the capacity.
- Labor cost: before considering labor costs, consider how big your plant will be. The bigger the factory, the more employees you need. Another factor is that in order to get experienced and skilled staff, you need to pay more.
- Land cost: when you know the raw materials needed and how much labor is required, you should proceed to choose the location where you want to build your soybean oil plant. You can find land at different prices depending on location, availability of raw materials or size of land.
How Can You Get Profits from soybean oil mill
- The oil output of 1 ton of soybeans is about 0.15 tons. According to the general sales price, the sales volume of $1640 can be obtained. At the same time, the remaining soybean cakes after oil extraction can be sold again at a price of about $1360, so that the profit can be roughly understood. So you get a profit of about $1,640.
- At 70% capacity, efficient 5 to 50 Ton-per-day mills earn up to USD 250,000 annually.
- Smaller soybean oil units with careful execution provide ROI in 2.5 years.
Factors affecting soybean oil profit:
- Raw material cost: Soybean is the main raw material, and its price has influenced profit. With the change in the international trade situation and the rise of agricultural production costs, the soybean price shows a trend of fluctuation and rise.
- Processing charges: Including Equipment depreciation, labor costs, energy costs, etc. Running costs are also important factors affecting the press profit. With technology improvement and equipment replacement, processing costs are optimized to a certain extent.
- Product selling price: The market price of soybean oil and soybean meal directly affects profit. Affected by many factors, such as supply and demand, seasonal factors, and international market dynamics, soybean oil and soybean meal prices are volatile.
