The plastic pyrolysis is a treatment which could convert plastic into energy or other valuable products. This method involves in heating the waste plastic under the condition of isolation of air so that become cracks gasoline, kerosene, diesel fractions and some gases.
Waste Plastic Pyrolysis Process
- STEP 1: Raw material preparation: First, collected waste plastic is classified, and cleaned to remove impurities and moisture. Then crush it to facilitate a uniform follow-up pyrolysis reaction.
- STEP 2: Pyrolysis reaction: Waste plastic is passed through the transmission system, rotation system, and heating system in the reactor and constant uniform heat combustion, starts a pyrolysis reaction. When the temperature of the reactor reaches 160, the oil and gas begin to be produced gradually. When the temperature of the reactor reaches 260-280, it is the stage of waste plastic pyrolysis to make the most oil, this process takes 4 hours. Waste plastic produces oil from the rear outlet, and starts entering the buffer tank.
- STEP 3: Condensation: The oil enter the buffer tank and reduce the flow rate of oil and gas and also settles part of the carbon black. Then the oil and gas enter the condenser for cooling and become oil.
- STEP 4: Tail gas treatment: In the process, non-condensable gas is purified by the tail gas treatment system, it could be returned to the reactor as fuel to achieve the recycling of energy. At the same time, the flue gas generated in the pyrolysis process will also be discharged after reaching the standard of environmental protection treatment system.
- step 5: Slagging: Pyrolysis reactor usually includes fuel oil, carbon black, and other solid products. These solid slag can be treated to produce renewable resources or energy products.

Plastic crusher
The plastic crusher is mainly used for crush kinds of plastic. Through the process of crushing, tearing, shearing and other multiple forces, it is broken into small particles or small pieces. Its main working principle is to break and shear the plastic through a high-speed rotating cutter. These fragments can be used in the production of recycled plastics, as well as other industries.
Pyrolysis system
The waste plastic pyrolysis reactor is usually composed of a heating furnace, a reaction chamber and a condenser. Waste plastic is put reactor and heat waste plastic to the appropriate temperature. It make waste plastic decompose into gas, liquid and solid products.
Cooling system
Waste plastic cooling system mainly adopts two ways: air cooling and water cooling. Air cooling take advantage of air generated by the blower to cool. This method is slow, but provides a soft and uniform cooling environment. Water cooling is achieved by a water cooling system. This method is faster, small size and low cost. But it may cause problem because of rapid cooling.
Gas gathering and disposal system
The collected gas deal with to reduce disadvantage for environment. This method adapt adsorbents to adsorb and purify harmful components in the gas.

Final Products
Fuel oil
It is used for fuel oil. It has the characteristic of high calorific value, low viscosity. So it is an ideal alternative energy source. It is also used to become a refined oil or chemical. It could turn into a variety of high value-added chemicals, such as lemon olein, BTX benzene series.
Carbon black
It could strengthen the properties of plastic products. It could become a conductive material. It adds to plastic which greatly improves the electrical conductivity. It is important to make conductive plastics. Pyrolytic carbon black can be used as an alternative fuel.
Combustible Gas
It could recycle gas that can be used directly as fuel in the combustion chamber. Recycled combustible gas could be collected separately for other purposes.
