  • STEP 1: Refuse Pretreatment: Industrial waste should be pretreated including sorting and crushing before entering the incinerator. Sorting is classified as combustible waste and non-combustible waste such as glass, and metals. Combustible waste will enter the next step. Crushing is crushing waste into particles to improve combustion efficiency and increase combustion speed.
  • STEP 2: Waste IncineratorAn incinerator is a core equipment of the waste incineration power generation process. Waste is sent to the incinerator and burned under high temperatures. The burning process is used to produce steam, then is responsible for driving a steam turbine generator to produce electricity. Smoke from combustion needs to be purified to reduce its impact on the environment. ‌ 
  • STEP 3: Gas Purification: The burning produced exhaust gas including hazardous substances and particulate matter. To reduce the impact on the environment, incinerator of discharged gas needs to be purified. The method includes dry purification and wet purification. The dry purification removes hazardous gas and particulate matter by filtration and adsorption. Wet purification removes hazardous substances by spraying with water or lye, such as acid gas. ‌
  • STEP 4: Energy Recovery: The waste incineration could generate electricity. The heat energy emitted from combustion can be recovered by a heat exchange device. The gas energy transfers to water and becomes a stream. Then the stream is conveyed to a steam turbine generator, which produces electricity. In this way, incineration achieves two benefits: waste disposal and energy recovery.
