Medical Waste Incineration Process
- STEP 1: Pretreatment: Medical waste of pretreatment mainly includes sorting, packaging, sealing, and labeling. According to relevant laws and regulations, medical waste is divided into infectious and non-infectious. Infectious waste should deal with sealing and masking relevant information. Then the medical waste is crushed to be convenient for incineration.
- STEP 2: Refuse Transport: The medical waste is sent to incineration for disposal. The waste-conveying method has two types: direct discharge and manual delivery. Manual delivery is usually the preferred method for small hospitals, while direct discharge is recommended for big hospitals to improve efficiency.
- STEP 3: Incineration: The medical waste equipment should be controlled strictly to ensure the waste gas and residue discharged meet the national standards. In the incineration process, it needs to ensure proper oxygen supply, the incineration temperature should be 800-1200℃. High temperature and high-pressure airflow are generated in the furnace. It makes the medical waste turn into carbon dioxide, water, and a small amount of ash. At the same time, it needs to monitor and adjust the incinerator temperature, oxygen, time, and other parameters in the process to achieve the best incineration effect.
- STEP 4: Waste Gas and Slag Treatment: The medical waste will generate waste gas and waste residue. For waste gas, it needs to meet national standards before discharge. Common waste gas treatment methods include wet washing, dry filtration, electrostatic dust removal, and so on. Waste residue needs to be safe and deal with compliance. Waste residue is used for sorting, storing, and packing according to its characteristics.
Medical Waste Incineration Equipment
Medical Waste Crusher
Medical waste shredder is used to crush medical waste. It could crush various medical waste into particles or powder. It also could reduce medical waste volume to be convenient for subsequent processing.
Medical Waste Sterilizer
The medical waste sterilizer is equipment that is responsible for high-temperature and high-pressure sterilization of medical waste. It could kill pathogens and microorganisms in waste to reduce infection of medical waste.
Medical Waste Incinerators
Medical waste incinerators are specialized in dealing with medical equipment. The design of the medical waste incinerator integrates automatic feeding, screening, drying, incineration, ash cleaning, dust removal, and automatic control. It adapts high-temperature combustion, secondary oxygenation, and automatic unloading slag technology to meet pollutant discharge monitoring requirements.
Dust Control Unit
The waste gas removes solid particles from the dust control unit. The particle may come from ash produced during the burning of slag or incomplete combustion of organic matter. The dust control unit could efficiently remove this substance to prevent pollution to the environment. The waste gas enters the deacidifier. In this process, acid gases of tail gas, such as sulfur dioxide and hydrogen chloride, are removed. It could reduce the acid gas content of the tail gas to meet environmental standards.
Activated Carbon Adsorption Device
The tail gas passes through the activated carbon adsorption device. In this process, the activated carbon adsorption could remove harmful substances, such as dioxins, and heavy metals. The activated carbon adsorption has a bigger surface area and good adsorption properties. It could efficiently adsorb this harmful substance to reduce environmental damage.
Why Choose Medical Waste Incinerator
- Efficient processing capacity
The medical waste incinerator could treat bulk medical waste in a short time, including infectious, chemical, and medical device waste. It also reduces the accumulation time of medical waste and improves treatment efficiency.
- public safety
High-temperature incineration can completely destroy pathogens in medical waste and inactivate them. It could prevent the spread of disease. So it ensures public safety.
- environmental protection
The modern medical incineration usually has an advanced flue gas purification system. It could deeply purify the waste gas and remove its particles, acid gas, and heavy metals. It is to ensure that the exhaust gas meets the national or local environmental standards to reduce secondary pollution.
- low Cost
Using medical incineration can reduce the volume and weight of medical waste. So it reduces the disposal of the cost. At the same time, it generates heat energy during the incineration process. It could be used for heating or power generation and further reduce operating costs.
