Oil sludge pyrolysis process
- STEP 1: Sludge pretreatment: The oil sludge was treated by dehydration and crushing to reduce the sludge’s moisture content and particle size and improve pyrolysis efficiency. This step is important for preventing sludge coking and clogging equipment during pyrolysis.
- STEP 2: Feed system: After pretreatment, the sludge is uniformly and continuously pyrolysis reactor through the feed system.
- STEP 3: Pyrolytic reaction: The sludge enters the pyrolysis reactor under anaerobic or slightly oxygenated conditions and is heated to a suitable temperature (generally 400-600℃) by an external heat source. During the pyrolysis process, organic matter in the sludge is cracked to produce flammable gas, liquid oil, and solid residue. The precise control of temperature and time, as well as the appropriate agitation, ensures that the pyrolysis reaction proceeds evenly while reducing the occurrence of coking.
- STEP 4: Gas-solid separation: The gas and solid residue generated by pyrolysis are separated by equipment such as a cyclone separator. The gas is further purified and could used as fuel or industrial raw materials for power generation, heating, and so on. The solid residue is subjected to subsequent treatment, such as crushing, screening, and drying to facilitate subsequent use or disposal.
