Waste Plastic Pyrolysis Process

  • STEP 1: Raw material preparation: First, collected waste plastic is classified, and cleaned to remove impurities and moisture. Then crush it to facilitate a uniform follow-up pyrolysis reaction.
  • STEP 2: Pyrolysis reaction: Waste plastic is passed through the transmission system, rotation system, and heating system in the reactor and constant uniform heat combustion, starts a pyrolysis reaction. When the temperature of the reactor reaches 160, the oil and gas begin to be produced gradually. When the temperature of the reactor reaches 260-280, it is the stage of waste plastic pyrolysis to make the most oil, this process takes 4 hours. Waste plastic produces oil from the rear outlet, and starts entering the buffer tank.
  • STEP 3: Condensation: The oil enter the buffer tank and reduce the flow rate of oil and gas and also settles part of the carbon black. Then the oil and gas enter the condenser for cooling and become oil.
  • STEP 4: Tail gas treatment: In the process, non-condensable gas is purified by the tail gas treatment system, it could be returned to the reactor as fuel to achieve the recycling of energy. At the same time, the flue gas generated in the pyrolysis process will also be discharged after reaching the standard of environmental protection treatment system.‌
  • step 5: Slagging: Pyrolysis reactor usually includes fuel oil, carbon black, and other solid products. These solid slag can be treated to produce renewable resources or energy products.
